I'm super-duper lousy with email. I love comments, make a point to visit blogs and comment, and I try to answer questions. I really, really try. The little guy takes precedence over all, however, so I often never get to emails. It's just the way it is right now. I really do appreciate the comments though. Sometimes, after a really tough day when nothing seems to go right and I feel not-so-good, someone saying one little thing here gives me this tremendous boost. I was surprised to discover this wonderful way to connect in a world where daily interactions can be tenuous, and I really value it.
About ~
The self part, in three parts: I once wore pink socks to junior high school in Japan, throwing a
dreadful wrench in an otherwise uniform day and sealing my inner
reality of quiet rebellion for life. Two: I once received a "Super F" grade from one of my first graders, but most of the time I rated an "A," I think, with Morning Marches over and under the desks to kick our days off right. Three: we moved to town where my parents, sister (& boyfriend) and grandparents live (25 minutes from my in-laws). Everyone seemed to congregate. We like family and, since becoming a family of three ourselves, have found a very happy, tired existence here (consisting of daily wanderings, musical spinning, economical everything, books and laughter).
The mama part: it is the self part now. I find the journey fascinating, difficult and full of joy.
This space: I jumped into the blog to write, threw a little sewing in and have been playing here ever since. Thanks for stopping in!
