So unbelievably tired

Dear Internet,

Still there?  Yes?  I missed you.

Oh, man... We are beat.  Thank the stars this little boy got RSV at the wise, old age of two and a half instead of as a baby (like all of those scary ads always caution).  It's like a modified, cranky croup at two, with the same ol' steroids and an extra-long dose of misery.  Poor sniffly, go-go-go-then-crash-wildly little guy.  All three of us are now pretty coughy, cruddy and blah.  You know it's bad when taking a picture seems like too much to manage.

I love this little view with Baby Doll's coat, the boy's decidedly dapper straw hat, his new backpack, sun hat and art.  I love how little bits of childhood find their way into every corner of our house, not in an obnoxious way but in a "feel the mood strike?-- Reach into that basket and grab the instrument of your choice and play, play, play"-type way.

More to come.  The sun is out, the boy can sleep horizontally and I'm sure in a day or two we'll be ready to hit the town.  Can you believe it's April?!  I missed chatting here.  I finally read Catherine Newman's article in Wondertime (my turn for the library copy!) about "mommy bloggers" and of course I cracked up and of course also felt reaffirmed that she's just a very good writer.  The best line was about blogging being the underbelly of scrapbooking.  Hilarious.  But this one made me get teary (in a good way).

Bye, Internet.  I can't wait to tell you about "Maybe" and house news and about Baby Doll's clothes and I have that tutorial for the little wool bunny too.  But I have to swig orange juice and take a nap now.

Yours, fondly, too much of the time,
Beth

I called Kristine to tell here about Baby Doll, and I think I brought tears to her eyes (in a good way). It is so cool that good handi-crafts become multi-generational, both in function and in their memories.

We all miss you too, but take good care of yourself and everyone else. Get better soon!

I really am writing back, I promise.

oh, feel better, little family!
Mine is finally recovered!

hope you all feel better soon!

J :)

Sorry to hear you've all been under the weather. I know how it is. Hang in there- sunny days are coming soon!
